Caroline and Nick’s wedding at Lake Como was a mesmerizing blend of romance and elegance, set against the stunning Italian landscape. The day featured a picturesque backdrop, perfect for their heartfelt vows and intimate ceremony. Their choice of Lake Como provided not just a beautiful setting but also a unique and unforgettable experience for their guests, many of whom were visiting for the first time.

The celebration was brought to life by an incredible team of vendors. Caroline’s stunning Galia Lahav gown added glamour and sophistication, making her look and feel like a vision of bridal elegance. The meticulous planning by My Lake Como Wedding ensured every detail was impeccable, from personalized thank you cards for each guest to the beautifully decorated reception area.

One of the standout features was the breathtaking decor and florals by Il Profumo Dei Fiori, which enhanced the natural beauty of Lake Como. The wedding planners and florists worked tirelessly to create a magical atmosphere that perfectly reflected Caroline and Nick’s vision.

How We Met

We met online back when online dating was just gaining popularity. Our proposal was magical – Nick planned an entire treasure hunt through the Museum of Natural History, leading me to a beautiful guitar player playing a special song in the park near a large heart made entirely of wildflowers. As we stepped inside the heart, Nick got down on one knee. I was crying so hard by this point, but I’m pretty sure he asked me to marry him somewhere around then!

Planning

We wanted to create something memorable for us and our guests. Lake Como was a first for most of our guests, and we wanted them to know how grateful we were for their presence. Our wedding planners,  My Lake Como Wedding, brought our dream reception to life, and we made sure every detail was perfect. From personalized letters and thank you cards for each guest to a keepsake hand drawing of the wedding venue, we wanted to make everyone feel special. Despite some challenges, everything came together beautifully, thanks to our amazing team.

The Big Day

There were so many unforgettable moments, but one stands out. Right after our first dance, the party music kicked in, and all of our guests joined us on the dance floor. Everyone started singing and jumping up and down, and my husband and I were dancing and hugging. I had to stop myself and breathe because I was so deliriously happy I thought I might pass out!

Walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time was incredibly special. My uncle walked me down the aisle in memory of my father, making it an emotional moment.

Fashion & The Dress

I tried on so many gowns but always knew I wanted a Galia Lahav dress. When I put on “Mimosa,” I knew it was the one. The gown was fun, sexy, and dramatic, with tulle adding a playful and airy feel. The color was spectacular, and I loved that I had two looks with one dress. The off-the-shoulder piece was a favorite element, and when I put on the gown with my Galia veil, I burst into tears. It was perfect for Lake Como.

Design and Unique Details

We wanted to focus on our guests and provide something memorable. Being in Lake Como was a first for most of our guests, and we wanted to show our gratitude. For our welcome party, we wrote personalized letters and thank-you cards to each guest, complete with a keepsake hand drawing of the wedding venue. That was a very special detail for us and our guests.

Reflections and Advice for Other Couples

I wish I knew how everything would come together no matter what. If something is important to you, do it. Think about what is important to you and figure out how to bring it into reality, no matter what anyone says. That’s the advice I would give to brides – plan your day around how you want to feel with your husband, family, and friends.
