The Wedding

Carrie and Rakeesh’s wedding blended traditions with modern elegance. Held at their family home, the ceremony featured a floral-adorned circular arch by Something Blue Floral Events, adding a romantic touch to their vows.

The vibrant Hindu ceremony under a stunning Mandap honored Rakeesh’s heritage. The couple’s love and the union of their families were celebrated in both ceremonies. The combination of these cultural traditions created a unique and heartfelt experience for all who attended.

The reception took place in a beautifully decorated tent by the waterside. Tables adorned in dusty blue linens and elegant place settings added to the sophisticated ambiance. Guests enjoyed dinner and dancing with entertainment from Grace and Grit and Long Island Sound.

Design and Unique Details

The wedding design embraced soft colors and floral accents, creating a romantic atmosphere. The watercolor floral invitation suite set the tone, leading to stunning floral arrangements by Something Blue Floral Events.

The circular arch for the traditional ceremony and the Mandap for the Hindu ceremony were standout elements. The reception space, transformed by Elite Tent and Party Rental and Party Rental Ltd, featured a tent with pennant flags, creating an upscale nautical vibe.

Tables were dressed in dusty blue linens, natural woven chargers, Flow Blue china, and pink vintage water goblets. Each place setting included watercolor wedding menus and napkins folded into roses. Lush floral arrangements and themed watercolor table assignment cards added a final touch of elegance, making the celebration cohesive and unforgettable.
