From The Team

This editorial was inspired by summer and the incredible Orangery at Hopton Court. Chloe Bolam, the planner, photographer, and videographer of this editorial, envisioned stunning summer weddings bursting with colour. What better way to celebrate with your loved ones than in a gorgeous glasshouse setting in the peaceful English countryside?

Located in the picturesque English countryside, Hopton Court is a truly tranquil and spectacular Shropshire wedding venue. It’s surrounded by acres of lush fields, woodland and rolling hills, making it ideal for couples seeking to celebrate away from the bustling city. There are so many incredible spaces but the favourite is always the Victorian Orangery. This venue just shouts summer! It’s truly the most gorgeous setting.

This shoot features the stunning 5th Avenue wedding dress by Dando London, supplied by Gatehouse Brides. It has an elegant, gentle A-Line silhouette with a modern square neck. It’s embellished with exquisite beaded lace throughout, full sparkle underlay, a low back, and a gorgeous long train. It is so dreamy and perfect for summer style weddings.

Florals were a huge part of this inspirational photoshoot, bringing the whole concept to life with vibrant colours. Our florist, Olive Owl, created two stunning freestanding column displays. From Chloe Bolam, “One of my top tips to couples is to reuse their floral displays as much as possible! You can use them by your dining area, for couple photos, by your cake, inside or outside. There are so many options and it’s a beautiful way to add colour and freshness to your wedding day, and make the most of your floral investment.” These displays were paired with gorgeous table flowers, and a unique floral crown cake stand to accompany the incredible wedding cake by Lesley Walter Cake Design.

Table decor was supplied by Little Cheshire Weddings, with rattan placemats, scallop edge plates, pink glasses and gold cutlery, coupled with intricately hand painted candles by The Emerald Fox.

Stationery was made by Jess Bolam Art from Bolam Designs, with a stunning citrus watercolour theme. The place names were accompanied by more fruit, adding a further unique and colourful touch.

Adding fruit as décor is such a great way to create a fresh and vibrant feel to your wedding day. It immediately adds an array of colour, luscious scents, and a unique twist with original designs, using what nature has to offer. This is an easy DIY option, where you can purchase whatever fruit you would like, and cut and arrange it to your perfect vision.

The key to bringing this vision to life was a strong colour scheme and moodboard! From Chloe Bolam, “I absolutely adore wedding planning and helping couples bring their vision to life! There’s something so magical about seeing your moodboard jump off the page and into reality.” This was truly the most rewarding and special part of this editorial, being able to step into the beautiful and vibrant summer wedding theme.
