Sometimes, a wedding is so unreal, so unbelievably breathtaking, it’s hard for us to put into words as we gaze in awe. Finding ourselves speechless over this beautiful micro wedding in Kefalonia, Greece, we’ll let the lucky & talented photographers Vesi & Yiannis Simopoulos do the talking…

In the Ionian Sea, Kefalonia, an island of unique beauty, represents the bohemian way of life and celebrates wedding freedom to its full extent.

The guests were welcomed by the beach with cocktail drinks while tasting local fruits and delicacies. A big surprise awaited them: an original handwritten guest list on big bottles—people from all over the world. A jazz band, all dressed in white, performed by the coastline, during their arrival, and afterward at dinner. The laughter was in the air. Everything spoke of fun times yet to come.

They experienced the wedding ceremony’s unique moments on the floating platform decorated by garden roses and lisianthus entangled in rich wild greenery. They all waived the provided white hats, cheering the barefoot Harper from India and Sita from Tibet. An ideal match in the perfect place.

The spectacular dinner ensued on the edge of the green river’s meeting point and the blue seaside. Small retro transparent vases held the garden roses, lisianthus, and the impressive local wild white flowers along with the quinces and prickly pears, all forming the long table centerpiece.

Later, the happy couple posed for a fantastic photo shoot on the Xi beach’s seaside, against the background of a breathtaking, sharply trimmed clayey landscape, exotic, in line with the wedding concept.

The bohemian style of Vatsa Bay was the ideal place to host the group of multilingual guests. They found a common language on the delicious local food specialties and the famous Kefalonian wine.

Our Love Story

Sita was in Kefalonia on a summer vacation in 2018. She met Harper there who was visiting from London.
They fell in love instantly, and their beautiful story began.

Several months later, Sita moved to London to pursue a master’s degree in Fashion Design. They moved in together. In the summer, they returned to Kefalonia, where Harper proposed to Sita on the sunny beach of Vatsa Bay. They would marry at the same place where they first met.

The Destination

We chose the venue without any hesitation due to its unique location and the warm hospitality of the owner, Europi Antonellou, who made us feel like we were throwing the party in our home. We felt the hospitality Greeks are best known for, and our guests left with unforgettable memories.

The Vendors

The photographers, Vesi and Yiannis, captured the best moments of our unique moments together. Similarly, Dimitris, our videographer, created the most romantic film of our wedding with his brilliant sense of humor. Meanwhile, Fillo Flower Studio created a beautiful setting, providing the venue with unique flowers inspired by its color palette.

By the end of the day, we were all one big, happy group.

The Honeymoon

We spent the next few days exploring the wonderful island of Kefalonia. As a wedding gift from our parents, we went on a sailing boat adventure around the neighbor islands of Ithaki, Paxoi, with the majestic turquoise waters. It was an unforgettable experience which we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
